The very same nitric acid used to create etchings is used as a weapon in many parts of the world in acts of extreme violence. As a protest of and as a way to educate people about this horrible trend, months were spent doing portraits of populations at risk, where this kind of violence occurs daily.
Then, in seconds, by throwing acid on the etching plates, these works of art were destroyed. The prints show the permanent scars of this violent action. A set of eight etchings.
