Created for the 2021 exhibition “In, and Out, Between and Beyond” Jewish life in Medieval Europe, “Reliquaries” is a site specific installation that highlights death rituals and practices, some in use until today. The installation references graves, and ghosts and the myriad ways that historically the living deal with the dead. The very human need for ritual, combined with superstition, is featured in the installation. This is currently on view at the Jewish Museum in Erfurt, Germany.
